Our Objective ...

To promote traditional family values and community cohesiveness, through events such as birthday parties and Family Fun Days.

It is a simple fact of life that 50% of Hong Kong people live in public housing and in most families both parents have to work and have no time or money to organise a birthday party.  Hard to believe or imagine that there are children in Hong Kong who have never celebrated their birthday !

Birthday Parties

Our objective is to make a child feel special on their birthday and provide the usual party, birthday present and games which their parents could not otherwise afford.  Based on others experience, these parties have been found to raise children’s self-esteem and create a feeling of self-awareness and confidence.  We know that celebrating these children’s birthdays can have a positive impact on the child’s behaviour and attitude towards school and interaction with others.

Family Fun Days

Another recent charity activity has been our Family Fun Days where we take coach loads of low income families to Government run play and adventure parks.  Often parents are holding down two jobs, so the time and money involved in organising such an event would be beyond them.  Having a carefree fun day together and consequential family bonding provides a reinforcement of traditional Chinese family values.
